1950’s Working Blue Bird (Torpedo) Vintage Manual Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Blue-Made in Western Germany
Working BlueBird (Torpedo) vintage, manual portable typewriter in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was produced in the mid to late 1950’s. Regardless of such old age, the machine works well! The keys are comfortable and it provides custom-made functions for comfortable typing. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This sturdy German typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it and without any hassle. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
Made in Western Germany.
The overall condition is good and the BlueBird functions well. Minor signs of use and age are present on the typewriter. Please refer to the photos.
