1970’s Working Silver-Reed 250 Tabulator Portable – New Ribbon, Case – Grey – Made In Japan
Working Silver Reed 250 Tabulator vintage, manual portable typewriter in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was produced in the 1970’s. Regardless of such old age, the grey machine works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and it provides customisable functions for comfortable typing. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This Japanese made typewriter is fitted with a new ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it and without any hassle. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is excellent. The keys type well and the Silver Reed is nice to use. Minor signs and age of use are present. Please note that both corners of the case have minor cracks in them.
The retro grey typewriter would be ideal for writers and authors, especially in the creative field. It will also be a unique gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the Silver Reed 250 Tabulator typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.
