Working Royal, Royaluxe 400 vintage, manual portable typewriter available in London, UK. The typewriter was manufactured at the end of 1950s-beginning 1960s, in the Netherlands, where the Royal company expanded their typewriter production from the USA into Europe.
Despite being of such old age, all mechanisms still work very well! Light responsive keys are designed for fast touch typing, producing a clear print impression. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, advanced margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release have incredibly good action. This Dutch made typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it, without any hassle.

The overall condition of the typewriter is great. Minor signs of age and use are present.
