1930 Royal Model P Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – New Platen – Made in USA

London Typewriters are delighted to offer for sale a fully refurbished Royal Model P portable typewriter, which was manufactured in 1930, and made in the USA.

The Roya Model P typewriter offered for sale is in good working order. All of the keys work smoothly making a soft sound when striking the ribbon. At the end of each line there is a strong ‘Ding’ sound from the bell, to indicate that you are coming to the end of the line. All other mechanisms work as intended.

The machine received a new platen (the rubber coating around the cylinder). The old rubber hardened and was professionally replaced with brand new rubber, so typing on this classic machine is now smoother and quieter, resulting in improved print quality on paper.

The new black ribbon is fitted and the typewriter is ready for action. It comes with its own case which has a sturdy handle.

Overall condition of the Royal Model P is very good. Minor signs of age and use are present – please refer to photos.
