1930’s Olympia Simplex Manual Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Black – Made in Germany
Working Olympia Simplex vintage, manual portable typewriter. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was produced in the 1930’s. Regardless of such old age, the black typewriter works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and it provides customisable functions for comfortable typing. The carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, margin setters, the carriage release lever and the paper release lever all work as intended. This reliable German made typewriter is fitted with a new ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it and without any hassle. Also comes with the original case.
The overall condition is excellent. It types well and clear on the paper- please see the photos. Some keys might stick at first. The backspace does not work fully. The case is shabby too and handle was replaced. Other signs of use and age are present.
The Olympia Simplex is located in London, UK.
