1950’s Working Optima Elite 3 Typewriter – New Ribbon – Made in East Germany – Grey/Olive
Working Optima vintage, manual portable typewriter in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was produced in the late 1950’s . Regardless of such old age, the Optima typing machine works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and it provides customisable functions for comfortable typing. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This typewriter is fitted with a new ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it and without any hassle.
Please note that there is no original case with this machine.
The overall condition is excellent. The keys type well and the Optima functions as expected. Minor signs of use and age are present.
The retro typewriter would be ideal for writers and authors, especially in the creative field. It will also be a unique gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.
The vintage Optima Elite 3 typewriter is located in London, UK.
