1950’s Working Triumph Norm Manual Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Red & Beige
Working Triumph Norm “Perfekt” vintage, manual portable typewriter in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was produced in the 1950’s . Regardless of such old age, the machine works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and it provides customisable functions for comfortable typing. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This German made typewriter is fitted with a new ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it and without any hassle. Also comes with the original case and the instruction manual with the yellow cleaning cloth.
This model has been repainted for the festive season!
The overall condition is excellent. The keys work well and the Triumph Norm “Perfekt” types well. The caps lock key can be tricky to fixate at times so please have this in mind before purchasing. There are minor marks on the top panel and the case.
The retro Triumph typewriter would be ideal for writers and authors, especially in the creative field. It will also be a unique gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.
