1960’s Working Olivetti Lettera (Pluma) 22 Vintage Manual Typewriter – New Ribbon & Case

Working Olivetti Lettera (Pluma) 22 vintage, manual portable typewriter in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was produced during the 1960’s. Regardless of such old age, the Olivetti machine works very well!  The comfortable keys are responsive and it provides customisable functions for comfortable typing. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guides and the paper release lever all work as intended. This iconic piece of Italian design is fitted with a new ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it and without any hassle.

Made in Spain so the keyboard is slightly different as it has the ñ character.

The overall condition is good. All of the keys work and the Olivetti 22 types well. There are some pain chipping at the front and the back. The case’s zip has also been torn so it doesn’t close fully.

This Italian designed typewriter would be ideal for writers and authors, especially in the creative field. It will also be a unique gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.

The Olivetti typewriter is located in London, UK.
