1960’s Working Olympia Splendid 33 Manual Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – German Made – Special Characters
Working Olympia Splendid 33 vintage, manual portable typewriter in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was produced in the 1960’s. Regardless of such old age, the Olympia machine works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and it provides customisable functions for comfortable typing. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This German made typewriter is fitted with a new ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it and without any hassle. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle and the original manual in German.
Please note this typewriter has the standard English QWERTY keyboard but with German characters on the right side of the keyboard.
The overall condition is excellent. All of the keys work fine and the Olympia Splendid types well. Minor signs of use and age are present.
The retro Olympia typewriter would be ideal for writers and authors, especially in the creative field. It will also be a unique gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the Olympia typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.
