1970’s Rare Working Brother JP-3 – New Ribbon, Secure Case – Orange – Made in Japan


Working Brother Model JP-3 vintage, manual portable typewriter in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was produced in the 1970’s. Regardless of such old age, this machine works very well!  The comfortable keys are responsive and it provides customisable functions for comfortable typing for your convenience. This particular typewriter makes the typist feel almost as one with the piece they’re typing, away from the modern distractions and more focus on the ideas typed on paper. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This Japanese made typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it and without any hassle. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.

This particular model has a very secure case as the typewriter clips to the sturdy base.

The overall condition is excellent. It types well and there are very few signs of wear and age.Minor signs of use and age are present.

The Brother Model JP-3  typewriter would be ideal for writers and authors, especially in the creative field. It will also be a unique gift.
