Elegant Working 1930s Corona Manual Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Textured Features – Made In USA And UK

London Typewriters are proud to present for sale an elegant Corona portable typewriter of 1930s manufacture.

It is worth noting that the Corona was designed and parts made in the USA, but it was actually assembled by the L.C. Smith & Corona Typewriters Ltd company, in London. The reason for such a production strategy was to surpass import restrictions and an extra 10 per cent tariffs imposed  by the British Government in the early 1930s, on general goods entering the UK.

The Corona typewriter offered for sale is working very well and cosmetically well preserved. The light chromed rim keys are light and smooth when typing and makes for an enjoyable typing experience. All the mechanisms work as intended. At the end of each line, the Corona gives a very impressive and strong ‘Ding’ sound.

The typewriter is supplied with a black ink ribbon and it is ready for immediate action, straight out of the box. It comes with a case which has a comfortable handle for better portability.

The Corona has a luxury feature which is textured front and side panels.

Overall condition is very good. Minor signs of age and use are present. Please refer to photos.

The slick Corona typewriter would be a memorable gift or a centrepiece at any occasion. The typewriter would suit any typist with or without typing skill or experience.

The Corona typewriter is located in London (U.K.).
