Olympia SM8 Typewriter

London Typewriters are delighted to offer for sale a fully refurbished Olympia SM8, which was manufactured in 1974, in Western Germany.

The Olympia SM8 works very well, taking into account it is more than fifty five years old. The comfortable keys are sturdy and solid when typing and it provides a feeling of confidence to a typist. The mechanisms work as intended.

This Olympia SM9 typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon and it is ready to be used immediately.

Please note that there is no ruler (scale) on the back. However, the ruler on the front is sufficient to indicate where the margins should be moved.

The overall working condition is good. The typewriter types well and all of the keys work without sticking. Minor signs of use and age are present – please refer to photos.

The Olympia SM8 retro typewriter would be suitable for typing long projects, screenplays, books etc. Its would appeal to all generation of typists due to its smooth key action.
