Petite Mid 1950s Empire Aristocrat Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made In England
London Typewriters offer for sale an Empire Aristocrat typewriter, made in the 1950s, in the British Typewriters Ltd.
The Empire Aristocrat has a light key action and types well. All the mechanisms, apart from the Caps Lock, function as intended. At the end of each line, there is an impressive ‘Ding’ sound from the bell.
A new black ribbon is installed and the typewriter is ready for action. It comes with a case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is good. Signs of age and use are present – please refer to photos.
The Empire Aristocrat has a Lion logo, which reminds us of the four lion statues guarding Admiral Nelson statue at Trafalgar Square.
The Empire Aristocrat would be appropriate for occasional typing. It would also be suitable for travelling as it is light in weight and flat. Due to its style, it would be a good addition to any thematic events. The Empire Aristocrat would be suitable for typists of any typing ability.
