Rare 1939 Ideal Portable Model 5 Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made by Seidel & Naumann in Germany
London Typewriters offer for sale a rare Ideal Portable Model 5 typewriter which was manufactured in 1939 by the Siedel & Naumann company, a world-known sewing machine, typewriter, bicycle and motor vehicle manufacturer.
The Ideal Portable Model 5 is featured with a quiet mechanism action, which makes the whole typing process on this machine, a very satisfying experience. All the mechanisms are intact and the 44 metal rim keys, which are protected with glass, work with precision after every stroke.
This bakelite made Ideal typewriter is supplied with a new black ribbon and can be used straight away, out of the box. It comes with the original case.
The typewriter retains all its original functions and the general condition is good. Please refer to photos to confirm minor signs of age and previous use.
