Rare Oliver Courier Working Typewriter (1958) – Beige-New Ribbon, Case
Rare Oliver Courier working typewriter in London, UK. The typewriter was made in 1958, in Austria and it is one of the last models manufactured by the Oliver brand. Taking into account the typewriter is sixty years old, it works perfectly well and retains all its functions. Light comfortable keys are responsive and it provides satisfying touch for comfortable typing. This particular typewriter makes the typist feel almost at one with the machine and the content they are typing; away from the modern distractions of computers and keyboards with more focus on ideas typed directly on paper. The backspace, carriage return lever, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. The typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it and without any hassle. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is superb. Types well and the keys feel comfortable. Minor signs of use and age are present. Please note that the case is in a slightly shabby condition.
The retro beige typewriter would be ideal for beginners who are starting to test their writing skills. This petite typewriter would also be a great writing companion if you are planning a retreat to focus on writing. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.
The vintage Oliver typewriter is located in London, UK.
