The typewriter was manufactured in the 1970s, in Japan.
The portable Silver – Reed SR180 De Luxe retains all its functions and works well. The keys are light and snappy when typing and this provides a satisfying feedback to the typist. Each line end is announced by a strong ‘Ding’ sound of the bell.
This model is designed with symbols for pounds sterling and dollars.
There is a new black ribbon installed and the machine is ready to be used, straight out of the box. It comes with the original black case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is very good. The typewriter operates as intended. Minor signs of age and use are present – please refer to photos.
