Stunning 1937 Remington Noiseless Model Seven Typewriter-New Ribbon, No Case, Dust Cover – Made in USA
Working Remington Noiseless Model Seven typewriter is offered for sale by London Typewriters.
According to the serial code, the typewriter was manufactured in 1937, in USA.
An interesting and unusual letter levers slide horizontally towards the ribbon rather than usual striking mechanism of majority of typewriters. This typewriter justifies its title ‘Noiseless’ as the comfortable keys strike truly without the noise.
All mechanisms work well and the typewriter is ready for action as it is thread with a new black ribbon. The typist will be able to type in tables.
The overall condition is good. All of the keys work and this Remington Noiseless functions as expected. Minor signs of use and age are present. Please note that there is no case for this typewriter, but a dust cover is provided.
Herman Hesse, the Nobel Prize winner in Literature, created his worldwide known work by typing on on of the Remington Noiseless typewriters.
The typewriter would be a great idea as a gift. It would also suit a thematic event.
