Very Rare Early 1940s Ideal Model 5 Tab Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made by Seidel & Naumann in Germany


London Typewriters offer for sale a very rare Ideal Model 5 Tab typewriter which was manufactured in the early 1940s by the Siedel & Naumann company, a world-known sewing machine, typewriter, bicycle and motor vehicle manufacturer.

The Ideal Model 5 Tab typewriter is featured with a quiet mechanism action, which makes the whole typing process on this machine, a very satisfying experience. Also, the typewriter is equipped with a tabulator key allowing the user type tables or spreadsheets. It also has a manual ribbon reverse pin.

All the mechanisms are intact and the 44 metal rim keys, which are protected with glass, work with precision after every stroke.

This bakelite made Ideal typewriter is supplied with a new black ribbon and can be used straight away, out of the box. It comes with the original case.

The typewriter retains all its original functions and the general condition is rather good. Please refer to photos to confirm minor signs of age and previous use.
