Woking 1957 Oliver Courier Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in England
Stunning and rare Oliver Courier typewriter offered for sale by London Typewriters.
The Oliver Courier was manufactured in 1957, in Croydon, England.
The Oliver Courier has a light key action which is important to typists with a delicate key touch to enable a satisfying typing experience.
All of the mechanisms, apart from the caps lock, work as intended. If text is required to be typed in upper case, the shift lock would replace the function of the caps lock. At the end of each line there is a sweet ‘Ding’ sound, reminding the typist to shift to the next line.
The typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it, without any inconvenience. Also comes with the original brown leather case which has a bright tartan lining and a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is good. The machine types well and the keys feel comfortable. Minor signs of use and age are present.
The Oliver Courier with the original milky colour would be ideal for beginners who are keen to improve their writing and typing skills. This petite typewriter would also be a great writing companion if you are planning a retreat to focus on writing. It appeals to all generations.
