London Typewriters are delighted to present for sale a working and well-preserved Remington Portable typewriter.

It was manufactured in 1927, in the USA.

What makes this typewriter interesting and unique is that it was designed most likely for commercial use with signs for three different currencies: pounds sterling, the US dollar and the Shanghai tael.

As usual, the Remington Portable works very well with a crisp and strong key action. The end of each line is supported with an impressive sound of the bell.

All the original chrome details are still shiny and the key buttons are topped with glass to preserve the original letter inserts.

Overall condition of the Remington Portable is very good. Minor signs of age and use are present.

The Remington Portable would be a a surprise gift for any occasion. It would also be a centrepiece at weddings, exhibitions etc.
