Working 1930s Corona Typewriter – New Ribbon, No Case, Dust Cover – Made in USA
London Typewriters are delighted to present for sale a four bank Corona typewriter. This model was manufactured in the 1930s, in the USA.
The Corona works well. The keys are protected by glass and metal rims to enable the typewriter to serve many generations of typists. The whole typing process is smooth and enjoyable as the keys are soft and light when typing.
At the end of each line there is a strong ‘Ding’ sound indicating that the typing is a couple of symbols away from line end.
The typewriter is supplied with a new black ink ribbon and it is ready for immediate typing. The machine has a ribbon colour switch allowing the typist to choose between two colours, usually black and red.
The Corona has a decorative element on both sides which is inherent for Corona typewriters of that decade.
The overall condition is good as the typewriter underwent a sympathetic restoration. Minor signs of age and use are present. Please note that there is no case for this typewriter. However, a dust cover is provided.
The Corona typewriter would be a memorable gift for any occasion. It would also be a centrepiece at any Art Deco event. It would suit typists with various typing expertise.
