Working 1936 Continental Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case, Manual – Made in Saxony (Germany) – Very Good Condition

Working vintage Continental manual portable typewriter located in London (U.K.).

After some research on the serial code, we confirmed that this pre-WW2 model was manufactured in 1936.

Despite its age, this German made machine works well! The comfortable glass keys are responsive, soft and smooth when typing and the whole process of typing is relaxing and enjoyable, with the typewriter requiring minimum effort to operate the light touch keys. The backspace, the bell, the shift keys, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever and the paper release lever all work as intended.

This German typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon and the machine is ready for immediate use. Also comes with the original case.

The overall condition is very good! The Continental functions as expected. Minor signs of age and use are present.
