Working 1950s Remington Quiet-Riter Typewriter – Miracle Tab – New Ribbon, Case – Grey – Made in Great Britain
Working Remington Quiet Riter vintage, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.). After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was made in the 1950s, in Great Britain. Despite its age, the Quiet-Riter works very well! The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever and the paper release lever all work as intended. The British made typewriter is fitted with a new ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is good. The letter keys type well and the Remington functions as expected. Please note that there are a few insignificant scratches on the top of the Remington, see photos.
The Remington typewriter would be ideal for writers and authors, especially in the creative field. It will also be a unique gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.
