Working 1956 Smith-Corona Super Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Beige Colour – Made in Canada
Working vintage Smith-Corona Super, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.). According to the serial code, this machine was manufactured in 1956, in Canada. Being more than sixty years old it is a fine example of a mechanical creation of the human mind, and the machine still works well! The keys are comfortable and soft and the key buttons are shaped with raised rounded edges and deep enough which enables the typist to use less strength from the hands and therefore to speed up the process of typing. All the mechanisms work very well and the bell provides an impressive ‘Ding’ sound. This stunningly designed beige typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon and is ready for instant action. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is excellent. All the keys work smoothly and the typewriter functions well. Minor signs of age and use are present.
The sturdy Smith-Corona typewriter would be ideal for writers and journalists. It would also suit any typist with different typing abilities and typists with hand problems. This typewriter would be ideal for office use or as a gift. It appeals to all generations of typists.
