Working 1957 Remington Travel-Riter Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Holland
Working Remington Travel-Riter vintage, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.). After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was manufactured in 1957, in Holland.
Regardless of such old age, the Remington machine works very well! The comfortable keys are crisp when typing and it gives a sensation of confidence to the typist. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended.
This Remington Travel-Riter typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it, without any inconvenience. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is very good. All of the keys work and the Remington types well. Minor signs of use are present.
The retro Remington Travel-Riter typewriter would be ideal for writers and authors, especially in the creative field. It will also be a unique gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the Remington typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.
