Working 1958 Empire Aristocrat Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made In England
London Typewriters are pleased to offer for sale an English made Empire Aristocrat typewriter, made in 1958 in West Bromwich.
The Empire Aristocrat works perfectly well. All the mechanisms work in a harmony and the keys are light and almost noiseless during typing. The green square keys are designed to enhance the typing experience and allow the typist to use a light key touch. The spools for the ribbon, are protected with flap wing covers.
There is a new black ink ribbon installed and the petite machine is ready for instant use. It comes with the original top cover.
Please note that this model lacks the ribbon colour switch and therefore the typist is able to use ribbon of one colour at a time.
Overall the mechanical condition of the Empire Aristocrat is very good. Minor signs of use and age are present. Please note that the paint at the front bottom corners of the aluminium body is worn, this is quite normal for such an old aluminium typewriter – please refer to photos.
This ultra slim Empire Aristocrat is very suitable for travelling, as it does not take up much space in hand language. Also, it would be ideally suitable for typists of a younger generation as a starting point, to develop their typing skills. This typewriter would appeal to typists of all generations, typing skills and professions.
