Working 1961 Brother Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Japan

This portable typewriter is one of the first models manufactured by the Japanese typewriter brand Brother, which then became the most recognisable producer of office equipment worldwide.

This particular Brother typewriter was made in 1961, for the British market as it contains a pound sterling key.

The typewriter has white key tops, a touch control lever for personal preference and a fancy wire-loop paper rest.

The machine is in god working order and functions well.

It comes with a new black ribbon and ready to be used straight away. Also comes with a brown faux leather case which has a comfortable handle.

The overall condition is good. Very minor signs of age and use are present, particularly inside the case.

The coating of the body is grey granite matt.

The Brother would be suitable for typists of any typing skill.
