Working 1961 Olympia Splendid 33 Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made In Western Germany

The Olympia Splendid 33 portable typewriter was manufactured in 1961, in Western Germany.

The machine works well!  The comfortable keys are crisp when typing which makes the whole process smooth and enjoyable.

This Olympia Splendid 33 is fitted with a new black ink ribbon, so you can type as soon as you get it without any inconvenience. Also, it comes with a non-original brown leather case which has a comfortable handle.

The overall condition is good. All of the keys type as intended. Minor signs of age and use are present – please refer to photos.

Please note the Caps Lock does not stay on when pressed, but the Shift Lock works perfectly well and the typist will still be able to type in upper case, using the Shift key.

The Olympia Splendid 33 typewriter would be a suitable companion for a traveller, as the typewriter can be taken on as hand luggage. It would also make a unique gift for any occasion, appealing to all generation of typists.
