Working 1962 Hermes 3000 Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Switzerland – Distributed in USA

London Typewriters are pleased to present for sale a sympathetically restored Hermes 3000 portable typewriter, which was manufactured in 1962, in Switzerland.

The Hermes 3000 is a desirable model amongst typewriter enthusiasts as it has proved to be a well-built machine, with a soft key action.

The typewriter offered for sale is in good working order. All the mechanisms and keys work as expected.

The Hermes 3000 is equipped with an advanced margin setting facility and tab mechanisms.

It comes with a case and a manual. There is a new black ink ribbon installed and the typewriter is ready for immediate use.

This Hermes 3000 was made for countries where the dollar is the currency – there is a dollar key on the keyboard.

Overall condition is good. There are some visible signs of age and use are present – please refer to photos.

Please note that the case lock is not very secure.
