Working 1970s Antares 20 Efficiency Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case, Manual, Typing & Carbon Paper – Made in Italy
London Typewriters are delighted to present another unique find in the world of typewriters.
This Antares 20 Efficiency was designed by the Italian designer Carlo Grassi and is the precursor to the Olivetti Valentine.
What makes this unique typewriter stand out? Firstly, it has an in-built comfortable side handle, making it very easy to carry. Secondly, there is a convenient paper storage tray under the typewriter which pulls out smoothly and ensures the paper always remains flat without creases and is immediately accessible. It is almost like a portable mini-office, ready for use anywhere, anytime.
Also, very interestingly, the carriage return lever opens up in a swivel. This mechanical feature is a clever design feature not seen with any other typewriters.
The Antares 20 Efficiency works very well. The keys are snappy and this makes the whole typing process enjoyable. All of the mechanisms work as intended.
The typewriter is made to type in tables.
There is a new black ribbon installed and the typewriter is ready for immediate action. The case is provided.
Overall condition is very good. Very minor signs of wear and age are present.
The Antares 20 Efficiency typewriter would suit any typist with various typing skills. This would be an interesting present for any occasion due to its style.
