Working 1970s Empire-Corona de Luxe Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in England
Working vintage Empire-Corona de Luxe manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.).
According to research on the serial code, the typewriter was manufactured in the 1970s by the Smith-Corona company in England.
Despite its age, the Empire-Corona is in good working order! The light keys are responsive and soft when typing and it really makes typing effortless and simple. The backspace, carriage return lever, the shift keys, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended.
This portable Empire-Corona typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon and can be used immediately on arrival. Also comes with the case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is good. The keys type well. Minor signs of use and age are present. Please note that there is a very minor misalignment on paper when typing – please refer to photos.
The retro Empire-Corona de Luxe typewriter is small in size and light in weight. Therefore it would be ideal if you plan to travel with it. Also the typewriter would be ideal for beginners, as it is light and simple in action. All generations of typists would enjoy typing on an easy to use petite, portable typewriter.
