Working 1970s Hermes Baby Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Western Germany
Working Hermes Baby manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.).
The typewriter was manufactured in the 1970s, in Western Germany.
Taking into account it has been in use since then, the typewriter works well and retains all its functions. The comfortable keys are responsive and light when typing, allowing the finger tips to rest, relaxed on the keys. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, margin setters, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended.
This original Swiss model is fitted with a new ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
Colour – pale mint.
The overall condition is very good. All letter keys type well. Minor signs of use and age are present – please refer to photos.
The Hermes Baby typewriter would be ideal for beginners and typists as the keys do not require much force. The typewriter is small in size and light in weight, therefore it is very appropriate to take with you if you are planning a creative writing retreat. It appeals to all generations.
