Working 1970s Imperial 200 Portable Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Japan
Working Imperial 200 vintage, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.).
It was manufactured in the 1970s, in Japan. Despite being almost fifty years old, the machine works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and light to the touch, making typing smooth and easy. The backspace, carriage return lever, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended.
This Imperial 200 typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it, without any inconvenience. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is good. All of the keys work smoothly and the typewriter types well. Minor signs of age and use are present. Please note some of the keys have insignificant yellowing due to the age of the typewriter. Photos attached.
This typewriter would be ideal for a traveller as it does not take much space. The typewriter would suit any typist with different typing skills. It would also make a wonderful gift for any occasion.
