Working 1970s Imperial 205 Portable Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Japan
Working Imperial 205 vintage, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.).
It was manufactured in the 1970s, in Japan. Despite being almost fifty years old, the machine works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and light to the touch, making typing smooth and easy. The backspace, carriage return lever, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended.
This Imperial 205 typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it, without any inconvenience. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is good. The keys (apart of the sticking 1/4, 3/4 and 1/3 keys) type well. Minor signs of age and use are present.
