Working 1970s Olivetti Dora Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Light Grey – Made in Spain
Working Olivetti Dora vintage, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.). After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was manufactured in the 1970s. Regardless of its age, this Olivetti machine works very well! The light keys are responsive and smooth and it makes typing effortless and enjoyable. The carriage return lever, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever, the paper guides and the paper release lever all work as intended. This iconic, Italian designed, typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon and it is ready for action. Also comes with the case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is very good. The keys type without sticking and the Olivetti operates as expected. Please note that there are minor signs of use and age.
The retro Olivetti Dora typewriter would be ideal as a starting point for beginners. It would also suit typists with hand problems. This Olivetti Dora would appeal to all generations of typists.
