Working 1970s Olivetti Dora Typewriter – New Ribbon, Dust Cover, No Case, Manual – Made in Olivetti Plant in Barcelona, Spain
London Typewriters offer for sale an Olivetti Dora portable typewriter.
This model of the famous Italian Olivetti manufacturer was made in the 1970s, in Barcelona, Spain.
The Olivetti Dora works perfectly well. The keys work softly and produce a moderate noise when typing. What is important with this Olivetti Dora is that the letter buttons are very wide, allowing plenty of space to place finger tips. All of the mechanisms work as intended and the bell makes a sweet ‘Ding’ sound at the end of each line.
The typewriter comes with a new black ink ribbon. So, it can be used straight out of the box. Unfortunately, there is no case for this typewriter. But a new transparent cover is provided to prevent any dust settling on the mechanisms of the Olivetti Dora.
The overall condition is very good. Minor signs of age and use are present.
Our recommendation is that this typewriter would be suitable for young typists and typists who require a soft key touch. Also, this two tone Olivetti Dora would be suitable as a gift for any occasion.
