Working 1970s Underwood 315 Typewriter – New Ribbon, No Case – Made in Spain

London Typewriters offer for sale an Underwood 315 typewriter.

This model from the famous Italian Olivetti manufacturer was made in the 1970s, in Barcelona, Spain.

The Underwood 315 works perfectly well. The keys work softly and produce only a moderate noise when typing. What is important with this Underwood 315 is that the letter buttons are very wide, allowing plenty of space to place finger tips. All of the mechanisms work as intended and the bell makes a sweet ‘Ding’ sound at the end of each line.

The typewriter comes with a new black ink ribbon so, it is ready for action straight out of the box.

Unfortunately, there is no case for this machine. Also, the frame at the front has been repaired and reinforced – please refer to photos.

Our recommendation is that this typewriter would be suitable for young typists and those who require a soft key touch. Also, this two-tone Underwood 315 would be suitable as a gift for any occasion.
