Working 1971 Olympia SM9 Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Western Germany
Working Olympia SM9 vintage, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K). The typewriter was manufactured in 1971, in Western Germany.
The Olympia SM9 works very well, taking into account it is almost fifty years old. The comfortable keys are sturdy and solid when typing and it provides a feeling of confidence to a typist. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This Olympia SM9 typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon and it is ready to be used immediately.
The overall working condition is excellent. The typewriter types well and all of the keys work without sticking. Minor signs of use and age are present.
The Olympia retro typewriter would be suitable for typing long projects, screenplays, books etc. Its would appeal to all generation of typists due to its smooth key action.
