Working Silver Reed SR22 manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.).
The Korean made typewriter was manufactured in the 1980s. It is very rare to see the Silver Reed of this light green colour.
The Silver Reed works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and light making typing on it effortless and enjoyable. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended.
The machine is fitted with a new black ribbon so it is ready for immediate use. Also comes with the case which has a comfortable handle.
The Silver Reed is supplied with a touch regulator, enabling the typist to adjust the keys to suit their own touch sensation.
The overall condition is very good. The keys type well and do not stick. Minor signs and age of use are present.
The Silver Reed SR22 would be ideal for a traveller as it is small in size and light in weight. The typewriter could be a starting point for a typewriter novice. It would also be a unique gift. It appeals to all generations.
