London Typewriters is offering for sale a wide carriage Erika Model 127 typewriter. The Erika was manufactured in 1981, by the Robotron company, Eastern Germany.
This high quality machine retains all its functions and works well. The keys are light, comfortable and smooth when typing and therefore a minimum amount of effort is required to strike the keys. All the mechanisms work as expected and the keys work smoothly. The typewriter is equipped with a new black ribbon and it is ready for immediate use. It also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is very good. Minor signs of use and age are present.
The Erika has a wide carriage (34cm or 13 and half inches). It is suitable to type in A4 landscape format or using A3 (297x420mm) paper.
The Erika Model 127 typewriter would be ideal for art and other projects. It would also be ideal for typists with a light touch. It would appeal to all age groups, with or without any previous typing skills.
