Working And Serviced 1930’s Imperial The Good Companion Manual Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made In England
Working Imperial The Good Companion vintage manual portable typewriter. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was manufactured during the 1930’s.
Regardless of such old age, all mechanisms in the machine work really well! The glass keys are supported by metal rims and are comfortable and smooth when typing. The backspace key, carriage return lever, bell, shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon selector (for the colour change), carriage release lever, paper guide and the paper release lever, all work as intended. The glossy black Imperial Good Companion typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can start typing as soon as you get it. Also, it comes with the original case which has a comfortable carrying handle.
Made in Leicester, England.
The overall condition of the typewriter is superb. All of the letter keys work without sticking. Minor cosmetic signs of use and age are present. Please note that the emblem of the typewriter offered for sale is slightly different in colour from the typewriter shown in the photos.
The vintage nostalgic Imperial Good Companion typewriter would be ideal for writers, authors and journalists, as the typewriter’s design brings up the inviting feel to be creative and original. It would also be a unique and quirky gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the Imperial Good Companion typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.
The Imperial Good Companion vintage typewriter is located in London, UK.
