Working And Serviced 1960s Olympia Monica – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Western Germany
Working Olympia Monica vintage, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.).
After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was manufactured in the 1960s, in Western Germany.
Regardless of its age, the machine works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and bouncy, and it provides a reassuring feeling of confidence for comfortable typing. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended.
This German made typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can begin typing as soon as you get it. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is very good. All of the keys work and the Olympia Monica functions as expected. Minor signs of use and age are present.
This sturdy and reliable German typewriter would be ideal for typing long projects. It would suit typists of various professions.
