Working And Serviced 1967 Facit ‘Privat’ Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – For typing in English and Swedish – Made in Sweden

London Typewriters are offering for sale a rare working Facit ‘Privat’ portable typewriter. The typewriter was a success of the Swedish typewriter manufacturing industry. This particular model was made in 1967 for typing in English and Swedish.

The Facit ‘Privat’ is a well thought through design, as the keys are soft and noiseless when typing. The whole typing experience with this typewriter is effortless and pleasurable. A rare Scandinavian find, it is in good working condition. All the mechanisms work smoothly and the keys work without sticking.

The typewriter is equipped with a black ink ribbon. So, it is ready to be used straight out of the box. It also comes with the case which has a comfortable handle.

The overall condition is good. Minor signs of age and use are present – please refer to photos.

The world famous Swedish writer Astrid Lindgred created her children stories by using the Facit. Probably, the well-known ‘Pippi Longstocking’ was written on one of these typewriters.
