Working Olympia Splendid 33 vintage, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.). The typewriter was manufactured in the early 1960s, in Western Germany.
Regardless of such old age, the Olympia machine works very well! The comfortable keys are crisp when typing and the whole typing process is smooth and enjoyable. The backspace, carriage return lever, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This Olympia Splendid 33 typewriter is fitted with a new black ink ribbon. So you can type as soon as you get it and without any inconvenience. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
One of the distinctive features of the typewriter is its unique cursive font which stands out as it produces a handwriting style of type.
Please note that this typewriter was painted light blue recently and the new colour is not the original.
The machine is in an overall good condition. All the letter keys work well. Minor signs of age and use are present. Please also note that the typist will be able to use one colour ribbon at a time, as there is no ribbon colour switch due to the design of the typewriter.
