Working Imperial Signet manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.).

According to the serial code, the typewriter was manufactured in the 1970s, in Japan.

Despite such age, the original light blue Imperial Signet works well! The comfortable keys are responsive and light making typing on it effortless and enjoyable. All the mechanisms work as intended.

This Japanese made typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so it is ready for immediate use. Also comes with the case which has a comfortable handle.

The overall condition is very good. The keys type well and do not stick. Minor signs and age of use are present – please refer to photos.

The Imperial Signet would be ideal for a traveller as it is small in size and light in weight. The typewriter could be a starting point for a typewriter novice. It will also be a unique gift. It appeals to all generations.
