Working Early 1980s Imperial Litton 203 Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Japan
Working Imperial Litton 203 vintage, manual portable typewriter in London (U.K.). After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was manufactured in the early 1980s. Despite being almost fifty years old, the machine works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and light to the touch, making typing smooth and easy. The backspace, carriage return lever, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This Japanese made Imperial Litton 203 typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it, without any inconvenience. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is very good. All of the keys work smoothly and the typewriter types well. Minor signs of age and use are present. Please note that the locking mechanism of the case is damaged. However, the case still locks reasonably well.
This typewriter would be ideal for a traveller as it does not take much space. It would also suit any typist with different typing skills. The Imperial Litton 203 would make a wonderful gift for any occasion.
