Working Impex Karena Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Bulgaria

London Typewriters offer for sale another rare find in the world of typewriters – an Impex Karena portable typewriter, produced for the Impex Business Equipment Ltd in Leicester, England.

The Impex Karena was most likely manufactured in the early 1980s, in Bulgaria and it resembles the features of the Maritsa 12 and the German Princess typewriters.

The typewriter displayed for sale, is in good working order. The key action is solid and would satisfy typists with a confident and firm typing style. However, as the typewriter has four touch control positions, the key action can be adjusted to suit even a typist with a lighter touch.

The Impex Karena can use a ribbon of two colours, usually black and red and it also has three line spacing positions so, it has the option to set and type in tables.

The machine comes with a new black ink ribbon and it is ready for action. The original case is in very good condition.

Overall condition is good. Minor signs of age and use are present. Please note that there is an insignificant misalignment on paper when typing – please refer to photos.

The Impex Karena would suit typists with various typing skills. It would be a stunning present for any occasion as the original burgundy colour of the top cover contrasts well with the light grey colour of the rest of the body.
