Working Late 1930s Olivetti Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Italy
London Typewriters are pleased to offer for sale a working Olivetti typewriter.
The Olivetti typewriter was manufactured in the late 1930s, in Ivrea, Italy as a result of creative collaboration between artists, designers and engineers. It became one of the most successful and iconic typewriters, of all times, not only in Italy, but through the whole of Europe.
The Olivetti typewriter offered for sale is in good working order. The chrome detailing is well preserved and the typewriter retains all its original functions. The keys are irresistible and almost noiseless when typing, requiring minimal effort from the typist to achieve a nice impression on paper. To inform you nearing the end of each line, there is a sweet sound from the bell.
A new black ink ribbon is installed and the Olivetti is ready for action. It comes with the case which has an original handle.
The overall condition is good. Minor signs of age and use are present. Please note that the case has some signs of repair but is in overall reasonable condition.
This ‘bellissimo’ Olivetti is a perfect gift for any occasion. It would suit typists with any typing skills.
Enjoy the Olivetti, sit back and imagine you are playing a piano.
