Despite such age, the original cobalt blue machine works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive and light making typing on it effortless and enjoyable. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This Japanese made typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so it is ready for immediate use. Also comes with the case which has a comfortable handle.
This Silver-Reed typewriter is designed to type in the German language. However, it can be adapted for use of other languages. If you compare the keyboard of the English keyboard to the German keyboard, there are only two letters in different positions, the Z and Y.
