Working mid 1970’s Adler Tippa Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Original Yellow – QWERTZ (German language keys) – Made In Holland
Working Adler Tippa vintage, manual portable typewriter in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was manufactured in the mid 1970’s. Despite its age, the Adler machine works outstandingly well! The comfortable keys are light and responsive and provide a feeling of enjoyment and fun to the typist. The backspace, carriage return lever, the shift keys, carriage lock, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This Dutch made typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it, without any hassle. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
This machine is designed for typists who wish to practice their writing skills in German. It could also be used for typing in other languages. The only difference between typewriters for the German language and English, is that the Y and Z keys are interchanged.
Please note that the colour of the Adler Tippa is the original yellow and has not been spray painted.
The overall condition is excellent. The keys work well and work without sticking. Minor signs of use and age are present.
The retro yellow typewriter would be ideal for writers, authors and journalists, especially in the creative field. It will also be a unique gift for any occasion. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the Tippa typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations. The typewriter is small in size and weight, and would comfortably fit into hand luggage.
The retro Adler Tippa typewriter is located in London, UK.
